Sangeeta Mehta is an actor by birth.
As a trained actor from Anupam Kher's Acting institute, she excelled in a full-time course trained by Mr. Anupam Kher himself, along with other talented film personalities like Mahesh Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, Shekhar Kapoor and Tanuja Chandra. After completing her course, Sangeeta immediately landed herself 3 lead roles in short films and documentaries. Soon after she acted in TV serials such as 'Shhh..Phir Koi hai', 'Remote Control', and 'Vaaris'. Wanting to expand her experience in all outlets of acting, she decided to do theater as well. She is currently the First Assistant Director/Production Assistant and Choreographer of the successful English comedy play, 'Dreamsellers'.
Not only is Sangeeta an Actor, she is also a very talented dancer. She started her Bharat Natyam training at the tender age of 5 years and after 12 years of training, she completed her 'arangetram' in 2002. But that was not the end of her dance journey. She then went on to become a choreographer in classical, bollywood and fusion-style dancing and has performed in many prestigious events in the USA, Kenya, UAE and India.
Curious about other forms of dance, she very effortlessly acquired her skills in salsa dancing and currently is a senior dance consultant at the #1 Salsa institute in India, QuickstepSALSA.
Sangeeta had graduated in Biology and Economics from Boston College, Massachusetts, USA. But her heart always knew that she was born to entertain.. And after living in Kenya, USA and Abudhabi, Sangeeta's wanderlust finally brought her to the country rich in culture and art - India.Everyday then became a pursuit.. a pursuit of happiness. And every time she donns a new mask and goes under the lights.. it gives her just that.
